Thanks so much for choosing to work with us — we’re really excited to start on your website.

To get everything off to a smooth start, we just need two quick steps from you. This ensures your project setup is clean and we can start building without any delays.

Step 1 - Create your Squarespace site using this link

Please use the link below to create your Squarespace account, which gives you the extended trial period.

Once you’ve created the site:

  • Go to Squarespace.com

  • Click on the 3 dots (Settings) then click on Permissions

  • Add us as an Admin - Emma emma@theginkgotree.com.au

  • Be careful of the spelling of my email it can be tricky!

If you’ve already created a draft Squarespace site in another way (Google, ads, shortcuts etc), that’s totally fine, just create a new blank site using the link above. It only takes a minute.

Step 2 - Complete Your website Questionnaire

Next, we’ll ask you to complete our Website Questionnaire.
This helps us understand your goals, your brand, what features you need, and what sort of content and design direction you like.

It takes about 10–15 minutes and saves hours of back-and-forth later.

What we cover in the form:

• Your business details
• Your ideal customer
• Your design preferences
• Any websites you love
• Your branding and images
• What pages and features you need
• Anything special we should know about your business

Step 3 - Invoice & Project Booking

Once we’ve received your questionnaire, we’ll send through your invoice:

• 50% deposit to book your project
• 50% on completion, before final handover

Payment of the first 50% officially books your project into our schedule.

We’ll confirm your start date as soon as the deposit is received.

Step 4 - Your Content Strategy Session

After your booking is confirmed, we’ll schedule your Content Strategy Session.

This session is where we:

• Map out your website structure
• Clarify your key messages
• Work out what content needs to be written or gathered
• Talk through design direction and any special features
• Make sure we’re all aligned before build begins

It’s relaxed, collaborative and usually takes around 45–60 minutes.

Step 5 - Your Project Trello Board

We’ll then set up your private Trello project board.
This is where you’ll see:

• Your project timeline
• What content we need from you
• What we’re working on
• Your design previews
• Approvals and feedback stages
• Final checks and launch tasks

You’ll get an invite to the board once your project is booked.
It’s very simple to use and keeps everything in one place. You’ll receive notifications in your email and you can directly respond via email if you prefer not to log in to Trello.

What Happens Next

Once everything above is completed:

  1. We prepare your site structure

  2. Begin your design phase

  3. Finish the wireframe for the homepage

  4. Populate the site with your content

  5. Carry out revisions

  6. Complete mobile optimisation

  7. Finalise settings, SEO basics and launch checks

  8. Hand over the finished website + training resources
